We were glad to welcome novelist Karen Kingsbury and her son Austin to the Memorial Museum today. Karen is in town for the release of her book To the Moon and Back. The book follows two fictional people who lost their parents in the Oklahoma City bombing and come together later in life. She drew inspiration for the book when she visited the Memorial over a decade ago and found a hat left on The Fence with a quote inscribed on it that read, “I survived this, but I can’t survive losing you.”
Karen wanted to show her son the importance and relevance of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. They shared their thoughts on visiting the Museum.
