Author Brad Robison and illustrator Margaret Hoge will be signing their new book If the Fence Could Talk at the Memorial Museum this Saturday, November 14 from 11:00am–4:00pm.

“I felt it important to write about the fence because it is a vital record and symbol related to the tragic event of April 19, 1995.  The symbol that it represents is one of goodness, care and love.  Through the fence we find expressions of comfort, strength, peace, and hope and these are the things we should always remember,” said Robison.

If the Fence Could Talk is the story of the fence that was placed around the site of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building following the bombing in April, 1995.  For five years the fence played multiple roles.  It secured the site during the rescue and recovery, as well as for investigators, and became a place for friends, families, and strangers to honor victims and first responders. Because of its role, architects ensured that sections of the fence would forever be a part of the Oklahoma City National Memorial and the fence continues to collect notes and mementos left by visitors from throughout the world.
