In order to better herself for her two daughters, ages 4 years and 4 months at the time, Kathryn Elizabeth Ridley was enrolled as a student at Guthrie Job Corps. Jacqueline Ridley said her sister-in-law had been on maternity leave from the Job Corps and had gone to the Job Corps recruiting office near the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on the day of the explosion. The young woman loved to write and was a very good artist. Sadly, most of her sketches were with her when she was killed, Jacqueline Ridley said. Jacqueline Ridley said her sister-in-law was taking welding classes at Job Corps, in the hopes that this training would help with her artistry. Kathryn Ridley, 24, was always smiling and loved to laugh. The sound of her laughter is what the family will miss most, Jacqueline Ridley said.
