The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is pleased to announce they are a recipient of a 2015 MUSE Award for the Responsibility Theater.
“We use the Responsibility Theater to interconnect the stories and Lessons Learned from the response to the Oklahoma City bombing to everyday life situations so that those who were not born yet, or don’t remember the bombing can relate these stories to their own lives,” said Dustin Potter, Chief Technology Officer.
In the Responsibility Theater, visitors consider hypothetical scenarios and select how they would respond from a list of options. Each of the hypothetical scenarios is followed by a real story related to the bombing and its aftermath. The experience inspires visitors to take greater responsibility for their actions.
